I did it! Law school graduation

The fight for civil rights and racial justice was what motivated me to become a lawyer, and on May 8, 2026, I will accomplish that feat and graduate with my JD (doctor of jurisprudence) from Vanderbilt University Law School. To achieve one of my biggest dreams—something I’ve worked toward, prayed for, and dreamed about for so long—feels surreal.
To my family, thank you for your love and encouragement. I stand on your shoulders in earning this degree.
To my friends and classmates, thank you for lifting me up during some of the toughest moments of this journey. It means the world to have your support.
To all the professors and mentors who poured into me and inspired me to continue along this path, I am deeply grateful for the wisdom and advice you shared.
I hope I’ve made you all proud.
