Celebrating Two Years on Vanderbilt's Social Justice Reporter
Last week I celebrated two years on Vanderbilt Law School’s social justice law journal, The Vanderbilt Social Justice Reporter! Throughout my two years on the journal, I had my first law school article published and I hosted the journal’s new podcast, Equal Ground.
Working with such an incredible group of students focused on highlighting scholarship from diverse authors and uplifting stories from underrepresented and marginalized communities was one of the highlights of my law school experience.
As a first-generation law school student, it has been deeply rewarding to be part of a law journal that works to challenge conventional views of the law as value-neutral and instead refocus the conversation around the ways that the law tangibly impacts vulnerable communities. I will deeply miss this group when I graduate next month.
